Éire go Brách!
When my husband and I were dating, there was a period of time when he was in Ireland waiting for his Canadian work permit to be processed. It was taking longer than we would have liked, so I decided to jump on a plane to visit the Emerald Isle and my (then) new boyfriend. We had only been dating a couple of weeks before his visa ran out and he had to head home, so naturally I HAD to see if this was something worth sticking out for!
After two weeks spent in stunning Ireland, I came away with a love for the country and love for my man. He was worth the wait. While there we attended the St. Patrick's Day parade, and it was unlike any other parade I've seen in my life. The "floats" were stunning, mesmerizing and reminded me of the costumes and stage work from Cirque du Soleil. If parades were like this in Canada I think I would attend them more often!
Fast forward four years later, we're married and have an adorable little boy who takes after his dad. To keep a part of both my husband and son's heritage in our lives, we've decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a bigger way in our home - with each year adding a new piece to our traditions. To kick things off, I designed a this rainbow Irish Blessing printable for our home using the words from an old Irish blessing.
I've made it available for download here so you can enjoy it too!
Would love to see how you use the print! Just tag @michelledunnedesigns on Instagram and you’re guaranteed I’ll take a look!
